Important Reminders

Always check with your instructor on what format specifications to use for a particular class or assignment, especially when citing electronic resources including material found in library databases.

The automatic citation generators noted on this page are NOT FOOLPROOF.  These tools will save you time, but you should always double-check by:

  • reviewing the examples given on the Reynolds Library Citation Style: APA and MLA 
    online guides
  • consulting with a Reynolds Librarian
  • consulting with your instructor

EasyBib

EasyBib is a web-based tool for building and managing citations in various styles including MLA, APA and Chicago.  

Reynolds Libraries access to EasyBib allows you to:

  1. Create a bibliography quickly using the Autocite or Manual entry forms for over 50 source types.
  2. Use features such as footnotes and parenthetical formatting, adding annotations, etc.
  3. Export citations to MS Word or Google Docs. You can also email citations to yourself.
  4. Use your iPhone to scan and cite sources with the EasyBib iPhone app.
  5. Save and access saved citations and notes from anywhere.
