Open Educational Resources

Use this guide to explore and research open educational resources

What is the Creative Commons?

Creative Commons is a global nonprofit organization that enables sharing and reuse of creativity and knowledge through the provision of free legal tools. Creative Commons legal tools help those who want to encourage reuse of their works by offering them for use under generous, standardized terms; those who want to make creative uses of works; and those who want to benefit from this symbiosis. The vision is to help others realize the full potential of the internet. CC has affiliates all over the world who help ensure that Creative Commons licenses work internationally and who raise awareness of our work.

License Your Work

Have you created a resource that you are willing to share with other educator's, students, and the world?  You can assign your work a Creative Commons License using the license builders listed below.  Just answer a few simple questions about how you would like your resource to be used by others.  A licesne image will be generated for your work that you can add to your work.  Having this license image will quickly let others know how they are able to use your work.

Creative Commons Licenses

Creative Commons licenses help creators retain copyright while allowing others to copy, distribute, and make some uses of their work, at least non-commercially. The CC License choser provides an easy way for creators to define the terms on which others may use their work. Click on this link for help in creating your license.
