Student Lingo - Free Online Workshops

  • Are you a busy student who needs easy access to tips on topics like time management, understanding financial aid, managing a budget, interviewing tips? Are you looking to enhance your skills so you can be a more successful student? Reynolds has a terrific resource for you!
  • Student Lingo is a free resource available to all JSRCC students providing online workshops on a variety of success topics. These fun and engaging workshops are given by college professionals and last 20-30 minutes.   You can watch these sessions from any computer and at any time of the day or night – it’s available 24/7!

Smarthinking - Free Online Tutoring

What is Smarthinking?
An online tutoring service that allows students to connect with a tutor and interact in real time on a wide range of subjects, including math, science, business, information technology, and writing. Check out for more information.

Who Can Use It?
Any student currently enrolled in Reynolds courses.

In What Subject Is Tutoring Available?
Writing, Reading, Mathematics, Science, Business, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Spanish, Nursing and Allied Health, Computers and Technology. Click here to see more information on the Subjects covered by Smarthinking tutors.

How Do Students Access It?
Students login to Blackboard and then click into any of their Reynolds courses. Under Course Tools, they will find a link for Smarthinking, which connects them to the Smarthinking web site.

Where Can Students Learn More?
When they login to Smarthinking, they will find many additional resources to help them use Smarthinking effectively.
