Reference is more than just dictionaries and encylopedias, though you will find those in the reference section. If you need background information, statistics, biographical information, definitions, and so on, the reference section is a good place to browse.

Reference material, such as encylopedias and dictionaries, can only be used in the library. The call numbers are the the same ranges as the circulating books, so for example you know books you want are in the BF call number range, check the reference section for books you might be able to photocopy from.
