Books ABOUT an author:

1. Select Advanced Search.
2. When the Advanced Search menu drops down, select Subject from the drop down menu on the left. Then type the author's name and the word, biography in the search window.
3. Next, select Books from the Material Type menu on the right.

Books BY an author:

1. Select Advanced Search.
2. When the Advanced Search menu drops down, select Author/creator from the drop down menu on the left. Then type the author's name in the search window.
3. Next, select Books from the Material Type menu on the right.

Criticism ABOUT a WORK:

1. Select Advanced Search.
2. When the Advanced Search menu drops down, select Subject from the drop down menu on the left. Then type the author's name and the word criticism in the search window.
3. Next, select Books from the Material Type menu on the right.
